I just read a comment on a news article about the awful story of the brother who beheaded his sister and stabbed to death his other sister http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/794983/us-man-beheads-five-year-old-sister and it said - "each generation is worst than the last."
my question is, is it? I'm not saying that the world isn't in a terrible state. But i think each generation has these tragedies and problems. Horrible things have been going on since the beginning of time. What about the witch hunts? slavery? murderous wars etc etc. They were all horrific too!
I think maybe we think the worlds getting worse because we hear more of the terrible things through the media. I mean, just the other day there was a video of a suicide bomb explosion on a normal news site. I saw people being blown up!! it was disturbing beyond belief and yet we are seeing things like this all time. Do we just think there is more violence because we're more exposed to it?
